Practices Tips for T-Ball
5 Minutes - Run the bases: Practice running through first base and play follow the leader around the base paths.
5 Minutes - Stretching: Arm circles, arm stretches, calf stretches, hamstrings, quads, and triceps
30 Minutes - Stations: #1 Batting, Show children how to hold a bat with proper swing. Using the tee, have kids take 5 swings each. #2 Catching, show children to catch with an open pocket without closing glove. Using baseball, have children throw underhand to each other without using gloves. #3 Ground balls, set up kids in pairs and have them roll the ball to each other. Show them alligator hands to catch the ball with two hands. #4 Throwing, show the children proper throwing by showing them the T form. Use the glove hand, have kids point elbow to target and throwing hand forming an L shape. Feet shoulder width apart, have them take one step and throw.
15 Minutes - End by running the bases again. Have the kids run to first base, then second, then third, finally all the way to home plate ending with a slide.
