CODE OF CONDUCT

The mission of Pajaro Valley Little League (PVLL) is to provide a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where children learn the fundamentals of baseball while developing important life skills such as good sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, responsibility, fairness, courage, and good citizenship.
To ensure these values are upheld, the PVLL Board of Directors has adopted the following Code of Conduct. Participation in Pajaro Valley Little League is a privilege, not a right. By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to comply with this Code of Conduct, and that I am responsible for the behavior of myself and my guests at all league-related activities.

I and my guests agree to the following:

Player-First Focus
I will remember that children participate in Little League to have fun, learn the game, and grow as individuals.
I will emphasize effort, skill development, teamwork, and improvement over winning.
I agree that doing one’s best is more important than the outcome of any game.

Sportsmanship & Positive Behavior
I will be a positive role model by demonstrating good sportsmanship, respect, and courtesy at all times.
I will encourage and support all players, regardless of team affiliation.
I will never ridicule, shame, or yell at any player, coach, manager, or official for making a mistake.

Respect for Officials & Authority
I will respect the authority and judgment of umpires and league officials.
I will not argue, question, confront, or verbally abuse an umpire regarding any call or decision.
Any concerns or disputes will be addressed respectfully and through proper league channels, not during games or practices.

Appropriate Language & Conduct
I will not use profane, obscene, threatening, or abusive language or gestures at any time.
I will resolve conflicts calmly and without intimidation, hostility, or violence.
I will treat all players, parents, guardians, coaches, officials, and spectators with respect, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or ability.

Safety & Environment
I will promote the emotional and physical well-being of all players above any personal desire to win.
I will not appear on the field of play, in the stands, or anywhere on the Little League complex while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substance.

Enforcement
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action by the Pajaro Valley Little League Board of Directors, including but not limited to verbal warnings, removal from the facility, suspension, or permanent expulsion from league activities.
