Pajaro Valley Little League

5th Annual Hit-A-Thon

On Saturday, March 2nd, beginning at 9:00 am, Pajaro Valley Little League will be holding its 5th Annual Hit-a-Thon fundraising event to help support various upgrades to our facilities and uniforms. This will be our largest fundraiser of the year and we hope you will help us to reach our goal. Every dollar raised will get reinvested into our fields and programs.

Online Fundraising Platform

To make collecting pledges as simple as possible, we have enlisted the services of 99pledges. Each player will have their own personal pledge page to send out to friends and family to allow them to support your fundraising goal. To setup your pledge page, please visit https://app.99pledges.com/fund/5thannualp and search for your player (players’ names will not appear until online registration and document check have been completed). Using 99pledges allows you to reach out to friends and family across the world via email and social media. The site also allows your sponsors to pledge via credit card using a secure site!

What to Do Next

To make your fundraising campaign as successful as possible take these steps:

  • Send emails to 20 of your closest friends and family right away!
  • Make your donation immediately. This will encourage others to donate as well.
  • Post to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter (adding a picture or video message works really well)

How it Works

Every registered PVLL player will receive 5 pitches for free

(Managers will pitch to their team or have the option to use the pitching machine. Tee ball players will hit off the tee)

At $50, Players receive 8 pitches, players earn an additional pitch for every $30 raised after $50 (a pitch limit will be by age group with 1 point added to score for each pitch earned after the limit)

Along with supporting your Little League, we have some great prizes lined up, including an Oculus! The following are the different prize categories.

FAQ

Why a Hit-a-thon?

We were looking for something simple that allowed players the possibility to collect smaller dollar amounts (if desired) from a potentially larger pool. Since there is no fixed cost or perishable items to deliver, players can now collect donations from friends and relatives regardless of where they live. We also felt that hit-a-thon would help build a sense of community amongst the league by creating a fun event for all to enjoy.

How will players collect money?

Each player will have their own web page that they can share via email or social media. Donations can be made through the website via credit or debit card. Players will also have the option of collecting cash or check donations and submitting manually.

How much will each player need to raise?

We are asking each player to set a minimum of a $50 fundraising goal. The more you raise the better chance you have to win a prize!

When is the hit-a-thon scheduled for?

The hit-a-thon is scheduled for Saturday, March 2nd starting at 9:00AM.

Why do we need a fundraiser at all?

Pajaro Valley Little League works hard to provide the best fields while keeping our registration fees as low as possible. We are 100% responsible for paying all maintenance and upgrade costs to our fields along with paying insurance and permit fees to use the fields and school practice sites. Now we are giving the kids their jerseys which is an added cost.
