Little League Baseball for the Pajaro Valley
We provide co-ed fall and spring baseball instruction for children ages 5 through 12 in Aromas, Corralitos, Interlaken, Las Lomas, Pajaro, and parts of Watsonville.

Games are played on four primary fields:
Ruso Field and 'The Rick' at Franich Park (1140 Menasco Dr,  Watsonville)
Marshall and Lail Fields at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds (2601 East Lake Ave, Watsonville)

Spring season signups take place in January, with the season running through early June.  Fall baseball begins in mid-September and plays on Ruso Field one day per week through early November.

 5/24/18  --  Major Playoff G6  --  GIANTS 16, Cubs 3  --   Thevisiting Giants were off and running with a five run outburst in the first inning.. After one out consecutive doubles from Joseph Rose and Isaak Vargas, Max Castro clubbed a three run homer. The Cubs cut into the early deficit with two runs in the home half, thanks to a Damian Suchil double and a Frankie Van Wickler triple. After adding a solo tally in the second inning, the winners followed up with a six run third. Vargas hit his second double along with a Juan Perez double later in the inning. After adding two runs in the visitor's fourth courtesy of a second Vargas double, Van Wickler doubled and scored the Cubs fourth and final run, as the Giants take the win via the ten run rule, eliminating the Cubs. Giants vs Braves - G8 on Wednesday 5/30.
 
 5/29/18  --  Major Playoff G7  --  PADRES 3, Angels 0  --  In the winner's bracket final, the Padres come out on top to move into the Championship Final on Monday 6/4. With Brody Legions and Adrian Leon combining to quiet the Angel bats on a two hit, 11 K pitching performance, Reece Hamalainen give his team the only run they would need with a first inning solo home run. Hamalainen also doubled and scored the second run on an Adrian Leon double in the third, In the fifth, Hamalainen's second double and third hit plated the winner's third run. For the  Angels, Zac Sandoval and Trey Silva both singled. Angels - G9 on Saturday 6/2 at 3pm.
 
 5/30/18  --  Major Playoff G8  --  BRAVES 9, Giants 2  --  The winner struck early with two runs in the visitor's first, thanks to consecutive singles by Mason Borrego and Zander Miller-Brown, who both scored on a hit by Nathaniel Arreola. The Giants answered with a run of their own when Brant Sirles led off the home first with a triple, later scoring on a Robert Gomez ground out. After a scoreless second, theBraves took control with a six run third inning. Key hits in the rally were RBI singles from Mikey Gonzales and Miller-Brown. The Giants managed a solo run in the fourth thanks to an Isaak Vargas home run. Meanwhile, Borrego went five innings to pick up the win. With the Giants eliminated, the Braves will now face off with the Angels in G9.
 
 5/24/18  --  AAA Minor Playoff G6  --  PIRATES 5, Yankees 3  --  Facing a 2-0 deficit, the Pirates came from behind with a five run fourth inning rally, then holding on for the win. After scoring an unearned first inning run, a Matthew Silva RBI single had given the Yanks a 2-0 lead. The Pirates comeback rally featured a leadoff double from R.J. Allen. In the Yankee sixth, David Cabanlit had a one out single before scoring on a Nathan Flores sac fly, but that was it. With the Yankees eliminated, the Pirates stay alive to face the Cardinals in G8 on Wednesday 5/30.

5/29/18  --  AAA Minor Playoff G7  --  MARINERS 14 Red Sox 3 --  In the AAA winner's bracket final, it's the Mariners who come out on top to move into the Championship Game on Tuesday 6/5. The two teams traded runs in the first inning to start things off. After the visitors tallied an unearned marker, the Red Sox tied it when a Jacob Jimenez triple scored Jacobi Martinez, who had singled. The Sox then took a short lived lead in the home second when a Santi Vides single scored Mikey Marquez. In the visitor third, the Sox were victimized by eight walks, which enabled the Mariners to score five runs. After holding the home team scoreless in the third, the Mariner bats came to life during a five run fourth inning rally. An RBI single from Dakota Legions started the rally, which also featured a two run single by Stanley Alatorre. After a Ceci Hyde RBI single gave the Sox a run in the home fourth, the winners closed the door with three fifth inning runs to take the victory via the ten run rule, with the key hit a two run single by Jose Silva. Red Sox - G9 on Saturday 6/2 at Noon.

5/30/18  --  AAA Minor Playoff G8  --  CARDINALS 11, Pirates 5  --  After playoff wins versus the #2 Cardinals and #3 Yankees, the magical playoff run for the Pirates comes to an end in this rematch. The Cardinals scored early and often, staring off with a five run first inning, keyed by a two run Zachary Gong double. The winners tallied three more in the third, with a Jayden Cole RBI single the key hit. The Pirates finally managed to put two runs on the board in the home third on a passed ball and a walk. After a solo Cardinals run in the visitors fourth, the Pirates tried to make things interesting with a three run rally. Maverick Nelsen's infield out scored one of the runs. The winners then tallied single runs in the fifth and sixth for some extra breathing room. Jason Coronado led off the fifth with his second hit of the game, later scoring on a Kyle Barto single. Cardinals vs Red Sox in G9.

5/16/18  --  Major Playoff G1  --  BRAVES 8,  Giants 7  --  With the score tied at 1-1, the Giants mounted a two out, nobody on five run rally in the home second for a seemingly commanding 6-1 lead, with the key hit being a two run single by Isaak Vargas. The Braves roared back in the third by putting seven runs on the board for a lead that would hold up for the rest of the game. Key hits were RBI doubles courtesy of Zander and Patrick Miller-Brown. The Giants managed to close the gap with a run in the home sixth, but the tying run was left stranded at third base. Braves vs Angels - G3 on Saturday 5/19.Giants vs G4 loser on 5/24.

5/17/18  --  Major Playoff G2  --  PADRES 10, Athletics 0  --  The 13-1 Padres rolled to a four inning win via the 10 run rule. Samuel Garcia's two run single made it 7-0 in the home third; then in the home fourth Brody Legions clubbed a three run homer which made it 10-0 and end the game. Reece Hamalainen went all four innings for the win, For the A's, Ryan Solorio doubled and Journey Lorenz had two hits.Padres vs Cubs - G4 on Saturday 5/19. A's vs G3 loser on 5/22.

5/19/18  --  Major Playoff G3  --  ANGELS 4, Braves 1  --  The Braves opened with a quick 1-0 lead when Zander Miller-Brown plated Mason Borrego with a first inning single, which turned out to be their only run for the game. The Angels took the lead for good in the home second with two unearned runs. In the home fifth, the winners picked up some breathing room when consecutive singles by Zac Sandoval, Rudy Valdez and Trey Silva sparked the rally. Silva went all six innings for the win, allowing four hits and just one walk while fanning 11. Angels vs G4 winner - G7 on Tuesday 5/29. Braves vs A's in G5 on 5/22.

5/19/18  --  Major Playoff G4  --  PADRES 11, Cubs 1  --  The Padres roll to a second playoff win via the 10 run rule. After a scoreless two and a half innings, the winners broke loose with a five hit, six run outburst in the home third. The five hits were all consecutive and came with no outs. Tobias Perkowski started things off with a double, while later in the inning Adrian Leon knocked in two more with a single. The lead was expanded further with three more fourth inning runs, two of which scored courtesy of RBI doubles from Karissa Navarrette and Reece Hamalainlen. The Cubs managed a solo unearned run in their half of the fifth before the Padres closed the game with two more in the home half. Adrian Leon's third RBI of the game, on a single, ended it. In addition to his two doubles, Brody Legions went 4 2/3 innings for the win. For the Cubs, Adrian Casillas had two hits. Padres vs Angels - G7 on Tuesday 5/29. Cubs vs Giants - G6 on 5/24.

5/22/18  --  Major Playoff G5  --  BRAVES 15, Athletics 2  --  The Braves bounce back from their opening loss in a big way, riding a 12 run second inning outburst to the four inning win. Big blows were a two run Jesse Navarro double and a bases clearing triple by Zander Miller-Brown. The A's two runs came via a Colin Hirahara two run HR in the home third. Nathaniel Arreola picked up the win, going all four innings. Braves vs G6 winner - G8 on 5/30. The A's, eliminated with the loss, will return for a consolation game on 5/31.

5/16/18  --  AAA Minor Playoff G1  --  MARINERS 10, Yankees 4  --  After a scoreless two innings, theMariners used a four run third as a springboard to victory. Diego Mejia's three run double was the big blow. The victors really took command with five more fourth inning runs, the key hit for this rally being a two run single courtesy of Brian Acosta-Romero. The Yankees managed to put up four fourth inning runs, with Max Stanley knocking three in with a bases clearing double. Mariners vs Orioles - G3 on Saturday 5/19. Yankees vs G4 loser on 5/24.

5/17/18  --  AAA Minor Playoff G2  --  PIRATES 9, Cardinals 7  --  The Pirates come from behind twice for an exciting first round win. Trailing 2-1, an R.J. Allen RBI single gave the home team their first lead in the home third. After adding one more fourth inning run for a 4-2 lead after four, the Cardinals came alive with a four run fifth inning, RBI hits from Brady Cortez and Jason Coronado made the score 6-4. ThePirates then managed their second come from behind rally, coming up with five runs to lead 9-6 after five innings. The Cardinals cut the deficit to 9-7 via a Zachary Gong RBI single in the sixth, but came up short. Pirates - G4 vs Red Sox on Saturday 5/19. Cardinals vs G3 loser on Tuesday 5/22.

5/19/18  --  AAA Minor Playoff G3  --  MARINERS 9, Orioles1  --  The winners ride some timely hitting and solid pitching to their second playoff win. A Jose Silva steal of home sparked the first of a five run first inning rally. In the third inning, Stanley Alatorre doubled and scored on a single by Brian Acosta-Romero. Acosta-Romero also picked up the win, going 4 2/3 innings, allowing the lone Orioles run on just four hits while notching 10K. Alatorre had two hits to lead the winners, while for the Orioles, Kingston Padilla doubled. Mariners move to G7 on 5/29. Orioles vs Cardinals

5/19/18  --  AAA Minor Playoff G4  --  RED SOX 15, Pirates 4  --  A two run single from Jacob Jimenez sparked a five run Red Sox first, propelling the team to their opening win. After adding a solo run in the second, the Pirates responded with three unearned runs to clos the gap. The Sox answered with four third inning runs to widen the lead, with Adrian Maldonado's RBI double being the key hit. In the fourth, a bases clearing triple by Jimenez blew it wide open, enabling the winners to grab the 10 run rule win in four. Red Sox vs Mariners - G7 on Tuesday 5/29. Pirates vs Yankees - G6 on Thursday 5/24.

5/22/18  --  AAA Minor Playoff G5  --  CARDINALS 16, Orioles 11  --  Leading by scores of 13-3 and 15-6, the Cardinals withstand a never say die Orioles comeback to hold on for the win. Trailing 13-3 and on the verge of losing via the ten run rule, the Orioles rallied for three runs in the home fourth to keep the game going. Eli Frye began the inning with a double, later scoring the first of the three runs. After the Cardinals tallied two more fifth inning runs to again put the Orioles on the edge of losing, the Oriolesthis time mounted a five run rally, sparked by hits from Dominick Ramirez, Jacob Diaz and Kingston Padilla. The Cardinals added an unearned run in the sixth before holding the Orioles scoreless and securing the win. For the Cardinals, Zachary Gong doubled, while Jason Coronado had two hits. For theOrioles, Ramirez singled twice. Cardinals vs G6 winner on Wednesday 5/30. The Orioles, though eliminated, return for a consolation game on 5/31.
